What is UserBooks
UserBooks is an electronic based building document information system and asset register that normally operates as a web enabled system, however an option can be provided for the system to operate as a stand alone system. The format enables easy navigation and access to important information required for the safe and efficient running and maintenance of buildings post construction. All the normal main file format types including multi-media files can be uploaded and accessed. Typical file formats that ca be uploaded include but not limited to : pdf, dwg, dxf, dwf, doc, docx, xls, jpg, tif, png, avi. A Role based solution is provided to enable all parties to upload documents to their restricted areas.
UserBooks is set-up at the beginning of the project and is used throughout the duration of the project and beyond. Information is uploaded onto the system and accessed via a secure password structure. All relevant parties are automatically notified once new documents are uploaded. The system is provided with an inbuilt search engine which indexes all documents thus preventing the requirement of meta data or keyword entry. The close monitoring of information and documents achieves a smooth and correct handover of all Drawings, H&S and O&M information at the end of the project.

Multi-Documents
Depending on your requirements and the type of files uploaded, documents are opened as attachments or as true web-pages with "index type tab content".
Multiple documents can be opened allowing manufacturer’s literature, written instructions and drawings to be cross referenced and read together.
Embed tags can be inserted to jump to related information such as asset data, maintenance procedures, as-built drawings, supplier information, etc. Hyperlinks within individual documents allow for quick and easy navigation within the document and can also be set to open other documents.
Images can be inserted into pages and used as navigations aids. A typical use of this feature is to provide a block plan of the project site with hot-spots which when selected navigate you to the required document set.
True web page styles ca be set-up with tab content allowing easy navigation between content topics.
